Industrial Action Starts 18/06

So far, the Premier has failed to adequately address our concerns. The We Deserve Better campaign is about six key asks, that look at the emergency healthcare system as a whole:

The announcement of 1850 Paramedics is amazing, but it’s not enough in isolation. And the 3% pay “increase”? By this time next year, the last three pay “increases” we have received will have lost us almost $15,000 in real terms, when comparing our pay to inflation.

APA (NSW) members have voted and have made it clear: we will not back down, and we will not be bought off with part-solutions. Industrial action will begin tomorrow, 18 June 2022, and continue until end of day shift 20 June.

APA (NSW) members should, from 18th June to 20th June:

We must remind the Premier that come the 2023 election, healthcare will be THE issue on everyone’s mind.

In solidarity,
APA (NSW) Executive
